Tips to avoid wedding car hire disasters

A wedding is a big day, there is no denying. Possibly one of the biggest days of anyone’s life. From the moment you laid eyes on each other you knew. You just knew that one day you would be walking down the aisle together, looking into one anothers eyes, and saying those words that join you together forever.

I do.

Then there was courtship. Dating. Fun and laughter. Probably quite a few smiles and kisses and embraces along the way. All well and good. Then you proposed. Or he proposed. Or she proposed. Well someone popped the question.

And the answer was yes.

Then the fun and games began in earnest. You see, planning a wedding is a little like a military operation in our opinion. There are so many moving parts that need to combine, working in harmony, to achieve a magical result on your wedding day. To do this, its best not to leave anything to chance.

This post is about one of the biggest moments in a wedding – the arrival of the Bride and the Groom at the ceremony, usually in a special car used only for wedding transport.

We are going to concentrate on the State of Queensland in sunny Australia for this post. Believe it or not, in Australia they DO NOT ride Kangaroos to their weddings. Strange but true.

There are three main areas in South East Queensland that people live in. These are Brisbane, The Gold Coast, and The Sunshine Coast. Each has their own distinct culture and subtle differences in style. And so to with wedding transport.

In these places, wedding cars are often referred to as wedding limos. Unless of course you are hiring a horse and carriage. It pays to organize a wedding limo hire Gold Coast well in advance, particularly if you have your eye on a specific make and style of car or cars. Most limo hire companies will offer several similar vehicles, but its fair to say there are not a hundred Rolls Royces for hire. So if a Roller is what you are after, best book ahead.

Brisbane is a bigger city, with a larger population. We’ve found that there are more companies that specialize in limo hire Brisbane – which means more choice but of course, with the larger population comes more demand. If you miss out with a local company though, you can often book cars from the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast as many of those operators service those areas too.

Which brings us to the Sunny Coast, as the Sunshine Coast is often called. When you are seeking limo hire Sunshine Coast it’s distinctly different to the other two areas. More laid back, and with a larger rural type population spread, there are less companies to choose from. Of course, you can often call a company based to the South in Brisbane to supply wedding cars, but you will have to allow for extra travel time, which is usually chargeable.

Thanks for taking the time to read this blog post. We hope you have an awesome wedding day- and enjoy your limo ride!
